debating whether one character is receiving this email at first.last@agreste.mode (another character's canonical email address is adrien@agreste.mode; as he's the boss's son, of course his family name doesn't need to be before the @, but she is merely an employee) or first.last@fictionalmail.fr

also, have concluded that if the first scene of this chapter is the email from nathalie@agreste.mode to nathalie@agreste.mode bcc one of several recipients (La_Temperanza continues my work skin lifesaver), then that gets the important bits of the scene out there in minimal word count—thus freeing the rest of my approx-2K-per-chapter so this pivotal scene has more room to breathe

January 19: read the rest of the section (the section currently stands at 23K+ words) and made more notes on what still needs fixed. The bit I identified yesterday is the biggest issue but there's still plenty to of other things to fix in the back half of the section.
