Day 17, I had a work obligation and then All the Errands. *sighs* But I managed a 182-word silly sort of time machine what-if that will probably go nowhere but was a nice brain-cleanser, so to speak, before I plunge back into getting stories in shape for submitting.

Oct 17: Got beta comments back on ch7, and made my (hopefully!) final edits.

Days 14-17 have resulted in a complete draft for one of my projects, yay! That helps us get less panicky about their incoming deadlines. Now, if only I could find a beta for these things.

18th: Took a sentence and turned it into a 688-word kissing ficlet. (Am currently regretting being "instant gratification takes too long" about getting beta, but that'll probably pass. I hope.)

500 words for the Drawer WIP for the 17th, plus a lot of re-reading and research to prepare for NaNo. I now know what I'm going to do for it; once again rebelling with working at my major fannish WIP as well as getting busy with another fannish WIP I had on the back-burner.

I had updated you on the Day 16 post but I didn't update the Day 16 tally on the Day 17 post until I had the "final" tally for that day [i.e., right now], since people keep checking in for various days. Basically, I keep the most recent post open/un-updated for about 24 hours before I update it to its "final" version. (When people check in for days in the distant past, I try to update those along the way.)

Ah, that's good to know! Most hosters aren't editing older posts once the new one goes up, so if one is missing in the previous tally it's mostly an oversight.
No worries then, I don't mind not being in on one day anyway except on the final tally.
I'm doing it differently myself; I'm doing the tally in a textfile with paste & copy which I edit once or twice daily, and then copy the whole into the next post. Once that one is up I don't edit the older one anymore as that's too much prone to errors; also because sylvanwitch is usually adding her own tally later, to avoid accidentally editing the post at the same time.
