It's nearly the end of the month and I forgot about the reccing posts. I thought I'd make this post a place to rec writing (yours or someone else's) and online spaces you enjoy or find useful/inspiring for your writing. To get the ball rolling:
In October, I (sakana17) posted two stories: Clickbait, M-rated Guardian (TV 2018) AU online dating fluff, 10K words, and A Stray Trace, E-rated Rebel (2021) power imbalance filth, 662 words.
An online space I'm enjoying right now: c_ent, a community for Chinese entertainment. I love learning about the various Chinese media people are watching, listening to, playing, and reading. The weekly chat posts are fun.

Oct 28th - 1133 words, a challenge fic, editing on a fic for posting, and I finally finished and posted the second half of my spook_me fic.

On Day 28, I somehow worked up the energy to do a first pass through "Killing Eddie Seavers," during which I mostly removed words rather than adding them, which is, on the whole, a good thing. Still not sure I've quite nailed the last line. Have to let it percolate some more. But at least I'm done for this day. :-)

This month I finished and posted it's not the breaking (Word of Honor; T, 7k, wenzhou), which is a story I'd been picking away at since April. It's about names, and letting go of the past, and nonsexual kink.

Right now most of my writing inspiration is caught up in exchanges! I'm very delighted to look at pinch-hit lists and treat possibilities and see if there's stuff I want to build from there. :) yuletide_admin opened up this year's yuletide requests for public viewing a few days ago, and ficinabox and trickortreat (among others) are trying to get people to fill their last rounds of pinch hits.

29th: trying to get started/traction on rewrites for a thing I got extensive beta notes on a couple of days ago, but finding it really hard to get started. I did a little bit, though.

A wrote a few Guardian things for a Kissathon earlier this month, including In the Shadows with a Damaged Heart (pre-canon, one-sided Chu Shuzhi/Black-Cloaked Envoy).
