January 5: Decided that I need a better grasp on the other character in this scene and also possibly what the setting looks like before I can get the scene right. Step one, what is their age and how long have they been in their position? Cut to me realizing that the notes that would help me establish this never made it from the previous notebook into the computer.

So today's writing work involved grabbing the previous notebook, finding three pages of notes that are actually really important in establishing the historical timeline and a few other characters' ages, typing that all up, adding a couple of other notes, establishing the character's approximate age and the character in question piping up that by the way they "quite like" U2. (190something genderfluid elf-equivalent decides they like "Pride (In the Name of Love)". Okay then Sean.) At least I had a good soundtrack while doing the typing? (I am so very Not In Charge of my own novel)
